Hi everyone! Sunday got the best of me and I got caught up in a continuing education class all day, so please accept Sunday Funday a day late!
Last week I was scrolling through my Facebook timeline and stumbled upon a video that really caught my eye– a ‘Tasty’ video from the culinary director at Shake Shack.
I MEAN. Seriously guys.
A lot of those Tasty videos look too good to be true, but I thought “um the culinary director of Shake Shack?! This HAS to be good.” So obviously I ran out and bought supplies to make burgers immediately. Because that’s what all of the rational people do.
I justified my burger experiment by telling myself that Peyton and I needed a fun homemade weekend meal. Do delicious burgers really need justification though? Not in my book.
The recipe is beyond easy, but the results are nothing short of amazing. The only modification I made was converting the shack sauce into something more Peyton-friendly. He doesn’t like dijon, so I lowered the dijon and kicked up the ketchup + cayenne. Add some homemade sweet potato or regular fries and you’ve got yourself quite a meal.
Until next time, keep on the sunny side.
